Bianca here again! I just celebrated my 25th birthday on July 9th in Austin, Texas. I am going to share with you some of my favorite things to do in Austin and outfits to match. Austin during the summer definitely brings the heat. Be sure to cool off by the lake or always have an air conditioned bar or restaurant to go to.

Shop at South Congress
What would a birthday trip be without some shopping? South Congress is the perfect strip to find both name brands and small boutiques for unique pieces. Of course I had to stop by and look at all the cowboy boots as well.
Barton Springs
The perfect place to cool off in the 100+ degree heat. If you don’t know anyone who has a boat or what lake to go to like I did, then I highly recommend Barton Springs. Its cold water is refreshing with breathtaking views to match.
Where to Eat
I absolutely can not get enough of Mexican food, and that is exactly what I did while in Austin. From brunch, dinner and drinks – Austin did not miss in the food department.
Codependent Cocktails + Coffee – A cute and modern lounge with delicious pastries and drinks, personally I loved the espresso martini paired with their cinnamon knot.
Paperboy – A must have brunch in ATX – the summer drinks were refreshing and the food is most certainly worth all the hype. Everything on the menu was so savory and delicious without making you feel greasy or heavy.
Honorable mentions include Taquero Mucho and Grizzelda’s for not only their flavorful Mexican cuisine, but also their instagram worthy drinks and bright environments. Along with Anthem which has a variety of food options with a swanky nighttime feel.
Austin Outfit Inspo
Austin’s motto is “Keep Austin Weird” so anything goes as far as fashion. Keep your look simple and feminine with a floral dress and boots, or make a casual look edgy with bold colors or prints. One thing I loved about Austin is that you can wear whatever you want and it ironically won’t make you feel weird.
